Progressing and completing your actions

Editing an action

Once you've selected an action from the list and tapped Edit, you'll be taken into the action detail screen. The content here will depend on the current stage of the action. 

At any stage, you can tap Save & Continue Later to save a draft of your current progress - this saved progress will be available to anybody picking up the action.

If the action is Not Yet Written

• You'll see the detail of the question or inspection from which the action was raised.
• You'll be able to add a short title, a longer description and any number of measurable outcomes to the action.
• Be mindful that the quality of the information here plays a big part in the quality of the response and the time it takes to close down. 
• If each field is filled with the same text, it might not be clear enough for the person closing it down, thus it may not be completed properly.

If the action is In Progress

• You'll see the detail of the question or inspection from which the action was raised, as well as the completed fields from the previous step.
• You should look to review the guidance given in the previous step, ensuring you achieve the appropriate outcomes to close the action down.
• You may or may not be required to, but it's good practise to provide additional context/evidence when completing the action.
• Once you submit your In Progress Action, it will become Complete, at which point it will no longer be visible within the mobile app.
