The pilot
If you're reading this, it's because you're participating in a pilot with Tendable for a new feature called Shared Drafts. Once we go live, this feature will be visible to anybody completing inspections via the Tendable Web Portal only (support for this feature on mobile will come in Q1 2025).
What does it change?
Drafts are no longer exclusively owned by the person who started them - once an inspection draft has been saved, members of your team can pick up where you left off.
We've made a concerted effort to keep the idea simple, and the process as familiar as possible, but you will notice changes in the following areas:
- "Start New Inspection" screens
- Drafts screens
- Inspection screens
- Inspection Reports (PDF)
What are some examples of when this will be useful?
- If one inspection has a large number of sets: you can now slowly chip away at that over the submission period as a team.
- i.e. a documentation audit with 20 sets - you can complete five, save the draft, and your team can work together to capture the full amount over the inspection period.
- When the owner of the inspection is unable to finish it due to sickness, holiday, busy periods: the team can now pick up from where they left off
- When multiple people need to contribute to the same inspection: Multi Disciplinary Teams can now collaborate on single inspections
What does this all really mean?
- Time efficiency: by avoiding duplication of work, more time is free to spend on providing and improving care
- Shared responsibility: audit can now be done as a team, meaning you can divide and conquer
- Collaboration with multi disciplinary teams: one audit can now be picked up by teams made up of diverse roles
