What is it?
Feature Control is an interface designed to give you control over how different Features are used throughout your organisation. In short, you're able to turn specific features on and off at an Inspection Type-level, a Parent-level or Organisational level.
At launch, it will only work for our latest feature, Shared Drafts, but we are looking forward to extending the functionality across our ever-growing range of features.
Since Feature Control lives within Inspection Management, only users with existing access to Inspection Management will have the ability to use it.
Finally, if you don't see a feature within the columns of Feature Control, please reach out to your Tendable lead as you may not have the feature enabled.
How does it work?
To find Feature Control, first navigate to Inspection Management from the Web Portal. At the top of the screen, you'll see a new button next to the 'Create New Inspection' button.
Feature Control is separated by features along the top row, followed by rows to apply the setting to:
1. All Inspections
2. All inspections within a Parent Inspection
3. A single inspection
In some cases, taking Shared Drafts as an example, there are sub-features which can only be enabled if the main feature is enabled. In our example, Overwriting is a sub-feature. If Shared Drafts is disabled for an inspection type, Overwriting will not be available.
