This release includes key enhancements to Inspection Management, such as:
1. New Features and Enhancements
New Answer Types:
You can now create questions with Date or Free Text response types, in addition to the existing Multiple Choice
Use Date when you want to capture responses like task completion dates.
Use Free Text to allow open-ended answers, with the option to set minimum and maximum character limits for better data quality.
Execution Enhancements:
Dropdown display for questions with more than 5 options
Calendar picker for date-type responses
Free Text answer types come with a text box and clear prompts to help users stay within the set character limits.
Submission Enhancements:
When submitting large inspections, the report generation process now happens in the background. You'll receive a notification when the report is ready! Read more here
2. UI and Layout Improvements
Improved Interface:
Easily add, delete, and reorder answer options in one view.
The default “N/A” option is now clearly shown along with other answer choices—no need to add it manually.
These updates are designed to make inspections more flexible, intuitive, and efficient — from setup to completion. By supporting more answer types and improving the user interface, we’re enabling better data capture and smoother workflows for both creators and auditors.

Feature Control improvements
You can now manage which Inspection Types use Actions from within Feature Control (within Inspection Management).
The underlined feature names are now clickable - the link takes you directly to the relevant Knowledge Base section.
Inspection Type names are now clickable - the link takes you directly to the inspection or parent within Inspection Management.

Inspection Management
- You can operate the same feature toggles from Feature Control at an inspection level when editing an inspection (see screenshot).
- Once Actions is enabled for an Inspection, you can then adjust the Action Duration value which sets the default due date for new Actions.
- Once Shared Drafts is enabled for an Inspection, you can then toggle the Answer Overwriting feature on/off.
- We've fixed a few bugs encountered when moving or reordering questions

User Management
- Fixed a bug where some users couldn't be edited
Inspection Management Enhancements: August 2025
This release includes a range of fixes and improvements across functionality and UI consistency in relation to the Inspection Management Feature.
1. Bug Fixes
Reliable Saving & Clearer Feedback
Changes to inspections are now saved more reliably, with confirmation from the server before success messages are shown.
If a save can’t be completed you’ll now see clear guidance on what needs to be fixed.
2. New Features & Enhancements
Simplified Category & Question Editing
- Updates to the Edit Category and Questions screen make it easier to manage changes:
- All edits (to categories and questions) are now saved together via a single Save button,
- A new dropzone allows questions to be moved between categories.
3. UI & Layout Improvements
Reliable Saving & Clearer Feedback
Button placement and colour schemes are now consistent across the page.
Dropdowns for Tags and Show if question are repositioned for better usability.
- Success and error messages now use a new toast notification style for clearer feedback.
These updates aim to make Inspection Management smoother, simpler and more aligned with how you work- enabling you to work faster and with greater confidence- especially when time is short.
