Why can't I edit an Action?

Permissions within Actions

You can only edit and progress Actions if (any one of the below):

  • you have inspect access to the applicable areas and inspections, or
  • you are a named assignee on the action, or
  • you are assigned via Team in Charge


Actions can also be opened and edited by multiple users, so you will be warned if another user is currently working on the Action. You have the option to back out of the edit process or proceed; you’ll be able to see the date and time of the user’s edit session when deciding whether to proceed.


Once an action has moved status, you cannot edit the previous data, and once an action has been completed, it can no longer be edited.
