Setting up Notifications

Modified on Mon, 27 Jan at 5:11 PM

Overview

You can always view your notifications in the app by tapping the bell icon in the top right corner of the home screen. New notifications are indicated by a red badge above the bell icon with the number of new notifications.

We provide lots of controls to customise the type of notifications you receive, both on your device and by email. These can all be found by navigating to More -> Settings -> Notifications & Reminders

Notification Method

This controls how we send notifications to you:

  1. Push Notifications: These alert you on your phone even when you're not actively using Tendable - we recommend using this setting as it keeps everything within the app.
  2. Email: This is a preference for some users.

Inspection Alerts

This controls which inspections, questions and areas you'll receive alerts for. You will receive alerts when an event occurs for any inspection which matches both a selected inspection and a selected area.

  1. Tap Inspections Selected to see a list of inspection types. Select the inspections you want to be notified about.
  2. Tap Areas Selected to see a list of Areas. Select the areas you want to notified about.

You then have the following options to set up per your requirements:

  • Toggle the Inspection Alerts switch to receive a notification when any of your selected inspection types in any of your selected areas scores at or below the threshold you define.
  • Toggle the Overdue Alerts switch to receive a notification when any of your selected inspection types in any of your selected areas misses its deadline.
  • Toggle the Question Alerts switch to receive a notification when any of your selected questions fail (score below 100%) for any of your selected areas and inspection types.

Inspection Reminders

This controls which areas and inspections you'll receive reminders for when they approach their submission deadline:

  1. Tap Inspections Selected to see a list of inspection types. Select the inspections you want to be reminded to perform.
  2. Tap Areas Selected to see a list of Areas. Select the areas you want to be reminded to inspect.
  3. You will receive reminder alerts for any inspection which matches both a selected inspection and a selected area.
  4. Toggle on the Reminders switch.
  5. You can now select the number of days before the deadlines that you want to be reminded to perform inspections, and the time (24hr) that you want to receive the reminder.

Draft Expiry Reminders

This controls how many days notice you'll receive before a draft expires:

  1. Toggle on the Draft Expiry Reminders switch.
  2. Select the number of days before your inspection draft(s) expire that you want to be reminded to complete it.
