Start an Inspection, explained

Modified on Tue, 25 Feb at 3:37 PM

We will run you through the New Inspection flow from the Inspect section on the home screen - this operates slightly differently when the Shared Drafts feature is enabled.

Starting a New Inspection

  1. Click New Inspection
  2. Choose your Area
  3. If you use the feature, select and confirm your review type (Self, Peer or Expert)
  4. Find your inspection type - on this screen you will see two types of button

If there are no drafts available

For any inspections without existing drafts, you will simply see the Start button, which will take you directly into the inspection

If there are one or more drafts available

If, however, there are one or more drafts available, you will see an entry with the > button. Click on this to view the available drafts.

On this screen will be up to three sections, depending on the availability of the drafts:

  1. Start New Inspection: you will always have this option if you want to use it, but we encourage you to collaborate on the existing drafts with your team when they're available.
  2. Resume My Drafts: here you will see all of the drafts for that Area and Inspection that you have either started yourself, or contributed towards. Click Resume to pick the draft up.
  3. Other Relevant Drafts: here you will find any drafts for the Area and Inspection that you have not contributed towards, yet. Click Resume to pick the draft up.
